For the first time ever, fans of the Volvo Ocean Race can watch live video updates of the Portsmouth In Port race on Monday 29 May.

Brought to you in conjunction with Tandberg Television and Livewire Digital, not only will you be able to view the action from the racecourse, but our faithful pundits Guy Swindells and Rob Mundle will be out on the water providing commentary for the entire In Port race. They will start by chatting to the crews and skippers pre-race, and then move out onto the Solent to describe the battle blow by blow for our audience.

If you are lucky enough to be down at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth this Monday, you can catch the race action on the Jumbotron big screen in the race village, or you can tune into Portsmouth’s community radio station, Express FM (93.7FM), to hear Guy and Rob’s commentary.

For Spanish fans there will also be Spanish commentary online at es.volvooceanrace.org with Amanda Blackley, Juan Caballero and Maria Bertrand out on the racecourse.

We would like to thank our friends at Tandberg Television and Livewire Digital who are providing the cutting edge microwave technology, which allows us to broadcast the Portsmouth In-port race live. Thanks also to The Spinnaker Tower who have allowed us to place our antennas on the top of the iconic 170 m Portsmouth tower.

Dockside departure ceremony starts at 0930 GMT / 1030 local. Rejoin us for the audio preview programme (English) at 1030 GMT / 1130 local; live commentary and video updates commence at 1145 GMT / 1245 local.

Note that unfortunately, due to broadcast agreements in certain territories, web audiences in Spain, Brazil and The Netherlands will not be able to view the video updates but full audio commentary in English and Spanish will be available online.
